In this fourth instalment of The Panpsychic Files, we step into a world where the inanimate are far more animated than we could ever imagine. A once-proud group of household objects finds themselves grappling with a deep existential crisis, their former purpose slipping away like grains of sand in an hourglass.

At the heart of the story is a stately grandfather clock, whose rhythmic ticking once ruled the household, but now feels forgotten, its precision overshadowed by digital timekeepers. Next to it stands a dusty bookshelf, once a pillar of knowledge and imagination, now groaning under the weight of unread books and neglected wisdom. A flickering lamp, whose glow once lit up late-night reading sessions, finds itself sputtering, uncertain whether its light still holds meaning. And lastly, a cracked mirror reflects the anxiety of them all, its surface on the verge of shattering as it struggles to maintain an identity beyond mere reflection.

As the world changes around them, these objects face the creeping shadow of obsolescence, and the profound question looms: what happens to objects when their purpose fades? Are they destined to be discarded, or can they redefine themselves in a world that no longer seems to need them?

Objects in Crisis takes you into a melancholic yet oddly humorous reflection on relevance, purpose, and identity—through the perspective of the often-overlooked. Join these forgotten objects as they confront time, change, and the inevitable question of their worth in an ever-evolving world.
